It is an HP dv4t, their schematics haven't changed other than harddrive size, processor type, and RAM type in the past few years.

It's the sexiest thing I've ever seen. Besides you anyway.

It's not really that special but I like it a lot, got it for $500.

My brother will be starting college this fall so I'm giving it to him for $250, I ordered its replacement last week and it arrived earlier today.

What I got was this. I needed something with long battery life but also light weight and this was perfect, even though other ULV notebooks have longer battery life none of them have the build quality of this one.

VAIOs have always been very sexy notebooks and I enjoy playing it, the screen is like the dv4t's and the only flaw I'd say it has is that the speakers aren't as deep or clear.

Really digging my purchase, after playing with it for a couple hours I'm satisfied by the performance. Streaming Burn Notice on Hulu has been seamless and the speakers are decent too.

Keyboard is the best I've ever experienced and so is the touchpad, combine that with the elevated textured palmrests and typing has never been more comfortable.

I used it on battery power, without streaming video or music playback, and after three hours the battery life was @ 50%, my HP dies after three hours.

Setup was easy and pleasant too, just set up the Windows update, name my PC, username and password, then Sony asked me to register my VAIO, offered Google Chrome as my default browser (saved me the trouble of installing it myself) and offered to let me activate my Norton trial or not without annoying pop-ups.

There are definitely better CULV notebooks in terms of battery life, but in terms of quality the VAIO Y-series has no equal, definitely a large step up from the Inspiron 14z I was considering earlier this winter.

I'll post pictures later when I can.
