Attention readers!

I'm not sure if you know, but there are many programs avaliable for download on the internet that allow you to play SNES, Sega Genesis, NES, N64, and GBA games on your computer. I happen to own most of these programs. After completing Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Mission, and all the Mega Man Zero games, I got bored and let my imagination roam. I thought to myself...

"How cool would it be if you could remake any game how you wanted it, and let others play it and rate and judge it? It would make classics like Metroid Fusion, Super Metroid, and Metroid Zero Mission endless!"

Fellow Sanctuary members, I am telling you... IT IS POSSIBLE! In fact, I am currently beginning a project called "Metroid Fusion: Beta Version" using a program called Double Helix. The details for this are simple. I am not changing the gameplay or storyline of Metroid Fusion. Simply remapping every room, top to bottom, with all new graphics and obstacles, and basically an all new Metroid Fusion.

Also, if I am capable, I just might be able to incorporate an all-new weapons system into the game as well! I am also very excited about other projects that are possible for future work. Let's just say that game-remodeling is a recently-taken hobby of mine. I will begin work on it immediately, as I already know how to run the program. I will use Windows Movie Maker to create a video of my progress, showing you the all new material. Expect that video in 7-14 days, folks!

If all of you already know this... boy will I feel behind. Ha-ha. Anyways, thanks guys, and get ready for Metroid Fusion: Beta Version!

I will post the link for downloading the Visualboy Advance program (allows you to play GBA games) and the Metroid Fusion ROM file (the data for Metroid Fusion, which allows you to actually play Metroid Fusion) here.

Visualboy Advance: Visual Boy Advance download

Metroid Fusion: Link Removed (see below post)

So you're basically doing a ROM hack?

I knew such things were possible; I just didn't think I had the skill or motivation to actually do it. I still don't. smiley-tongue.gif

The idea sounds cool though. I'd like to see that video before I say anything about your proposed hack though.

I've actually had ideas for a Super Metroid hack where Phantoon gets a second form, Draygon takes more shocks with the grapple beam to take down, and a few new power-ups (as well as new optional bosses to get to them). I've just called it Super Metroid Redux.

The emulator is legal, the rom is not.

Deleted for beyond questionable legality.

Yeah, for legal manners we can't put the ROM up on our site. The emulator is legal if there wasn't reverse engineering. Also, the patch should be legal too if there isn't reverse engineering done with it, and you aren't stealing art. Then if others have their own copy of the ROM, they can apply your patch and play your game. smileycat.gif

I'd be interested in seeing YouTube videos of it when you get farther along!!

Moved the topic out of trash, but also removed link. I'm leaving this here so everyone knows that the above two posts are correct. Unfortunately we do not allow distribution of any ROMs for fear of legal troubles. We wish we didn't have to, but we're covering our bases here guys.
