Same story goes for my Torchic in Emerald (and Sapphire, but I played Gen3 for the first time via emulator. I never had a GBA. my DS is my GBA. That's why I refuse to get a DSi). I chose Piplup cuz I'm a water whore, but i liked his design the most out of the starters. I still haven't gotten that bitch to lv100 though. xD!! I have a lv100 torterra and infernrape though.  They get extra EXP cuz I got them via GTS. Yeah, that's proof that they have shitty IVs and I didn't care much. I just wanted 100s, and fast.

I'm going Mika on this one and am going to try to avoid the starters too, although I got a peak at those pictures.
Hopefully they are fake though - from the glance I saw they were on a weird box thing which is pretty odd.
