Forum Software has been updated

We did some minor forum software updates tonight. There shouldn't be any issues, but if there are, please point them out on the Feedback and Support board.

Software change log:

General stability/performance tweaks
Editor stability/performance tweaks
Ability to disable/enable content posted into the editor retaining original formatting (click in the editor to toggle)
Quotes and Code Boxes are now formatted in the editor when in RTE mode
Ability for mods and topic creators to mark replies as "Best Answer" (only available in 'Feedback and Support' and 'Off Topic Discussion')

Nintendo Network ID Profile Field Added

We've added a Nintendo Network ID field to the Contact Methods area of your profiles. As with your IDs for other gaming services, this ID will show up along-side your posts once filled. We also have an official Nintendo Network ID sharing topic here!

In case you somehow didn't notice, we just upgraded our forum software! We still got a bit to do before everything is completely done and ready, but everything should at least be functional. Go ahead and snoop around for new features, and feel free to ask questions, report bugs, and offer feedback.

Also, today is CS's 6th birthday!

301 Error Fixed

If you can to the website sometime between 9 AM and noon PT you likely got either a 301 or 404 error. It seems sometime this morning our site was moved to a new server and some problems occurred that resulted in the whole site or portions of the site being in accessible. The problem should be completely fixed now though.

E3 2012 Board Retired

The Pre-3 2012 board is up. Use it to discuss rumors and news regarding this year's E3 and post about anything and everything you hope to see there. Maybe make a few bets along the way. And please, for the love of God start some topics of your own so that I don't have to!

As always, once E3 hits the board will be converted into a general E3 discussion board. I ask that you all please keep anything and everything E3 related there so that we can all easily keep up on what we've learned from this year's event. After the board is closed the topics will be moved to their respective boards.

Tech Difficulties and Comments/Suggestions Merged

Hey guys, just a minor update. We merged "Technical Difficulties" and "Comments and Suggestions" into a singular "Feedback and Support". Neither were getting much use and the distinction between the two has often been minor anyway. Also, as a result of the merger Conker's Rank Thread has been moved to the "Off Topic Discussion" board, since it's neither feedback nor support.

GoDaddy Supports SOPA

As some of you may know, GoDaddy is our hosting provider. GoDaddy is in support of(in fact, they are the only Internet company in support of) the new controversial SOPA(Stop Online Piracy Act) bill, and many people are beginning to boycott GoDaddy because of this.

If you don't know what SOPA is and how it could affect your rights, there are many videos exposing it for what it is. American Censorship is a good site to start at.

I ask the community if we should boycott GoDaddy as well. This would entail switching our hosting provider and domain provider. I also want to switch away from GoDaddy for the purpose of lessening the hosting bill that Spameroo has to pay to keep this site up by making the billing more spread out among us(donation-driven and possibly google ads) rather than Spameroo having to pay for everything.
