My Hero Accadamia is pretty good. I've been watching the Simul-dub on Funimation's streaming service, as well as reading the manga every week. Speaking of which, there's been a lot of good new series in Weekly Shonen Jump lately. While One Piece will always be my main reason for subscribing, lately there's been just so many other good series in the magazine that really have made the subscription worth it.

EDIT: I just finished watching the Castlevania anime (if it can even be called that), and it was pretty good. I have very limited experience with the Castlevania games, and in particular never got very far on Castlevania III, but after watching this i kinda wanna try my hand at C3 again. I believe i have a copy downloaded on my 3DS i could break out and start playing.

Also, as i side note regarding the Netflix series, I found it kinda amusing that both Trevor Belmont and Dracula were voiced by two of the Dwarves from the Hobbit movies.

Started My Hero Acadamia and yeah, really solid two opening episodes. I look forward to see where this goes.

Just a heads-up, but CoroCoro's Splatoon manga is being adapted into a web anime on CoroCoro's YouTube channel starting August 12th.  The anime won't deviate much if at all from the manga.  Just wanted to note this in case if this might be something that could be licensed and localized to America at some point.

After almost a quarter-century, SEGA has announced they are ending their partnership with Archie Comics regarding the Sonic the Hedgehog comics:

I had heard before this announcement that all works just ceased publishing earlier in the year in an impromptu hiatus.  If the announcement today was why, then I guess any active stories and plot items are forever unresolved.

Lol, "quarter century" sounds a lot longer than 25 years, and "almost" means it's even less than that. Not nearly as tragic once you realize what's really going on. :P

But yeah, 24 years is still a long time, considering that Sonic first debuted... a little over a quarter century 26 years ago. Damn, so they were up Archie's ass for 24 of the 26 years Sonic had been alive. There's a chance Sonic doesn't even remember being 2 years old and not having Archie around!

Man, this just crushes my heart. I've been reading the comics non-stop ever since i got issue #1 at a grocery store magazine rack when i was 8. I literally grew up with this comic. I have such a huge collection of every issue released and have read them over and over. Hell, most of the comics are way better then the games. Ever since there was a delay in the latest issues starting last January, i've been hearing all these rumors and statements from Archie saying that they were negotiating with Sega in Japan, and every couple of months i would check in, only to just see more "still negotiating" press statements. I was dreading this day might come. God, fuck you Sega Japan for doing this. This book broke fucking records for its length. How could they just so casually kill it now?! It's not like there's been a decline in quality or anything lately. Hell, if anything, the writing and art has been some the strongest ever in recent years. How could they do this? Was this in response to the crap with Ken Penders five-or-so years ago, when the asshole tried filing a copywrite claim for the character of Knuckles? Though speaking of which, i saw some tweets of his regarding the comic's cancellation, and he's being just as big a douche as ever. All in all, though, this ordeal is very depressing, as it literally feels like a part of my childhood has just died.

This feels like an April Fools joke, but it's not April, so sadly, i guess it's real. Hollywood is making a live action version of One Piece. At least unlike the shitty Dragon Ball movie, this will be overseen by the original manga author. Still, with Hollywood's previous track record for anime-based movies, i'm not holding my breath for this being any good.
