How come the Off Topic board was locked earlier today?

We have been figuring out the best way to implement an off-topic board so it doesn't suck the life out of the rest of the forum, like the old one started to do.

haha yea, I did notice that and I thought that that was the reason for it. lol. Power On is the place that gets the most posts on Nisder, but it doesn't appear to suck the life out of Nsider becasue there's a pantsfull of people on Nsider. Anyway, how did LT keep goin' so well without an off-topic thread? I mean, was it a "huge" number of people that kept is so "lively"? (it was dead compared to the spam on Nsider, but it was like a 5-year-old with an energy drink compared to this place).

Apparently, LT did have an off-topic board at one point, but they closed it for that same reason - it was becoming way more active than anything else.

I think that was why they got rid of the chat thread too.

ey, you know what sucks shit? Nintendo had to be a big pussy and freakin' delete the LT thread!!!! [on Nsider]

That's the second time they delete my posts!!! Damnit. but it wasn't as bad as when they deleted all my breaking news coverage from the Wii Remote's initial unveiling back when I was in Team Triforce.

The one that one of the users here (I forgot who--it mighta been you) but anyway, the one that someone here at Chozo Sanctuary posted a link to. I couldn't find the link to the thread here on CS, so I looked on Nsider through my "FIND ALL PLANT42'S POSTS" thingy. I found posts made before and after the ones on the LT thread, but none from the actual thread.

It was the thread that basically exposed LT after it was closed. The one where everyone was like "It finally closed today" and people liie "OMG! A Mature Nsider? You don't say!!" that one.

Yea I remember that one. I posted in it. I think it was called "Your favorite memories from LT." Someone deleted it because they obviously hadn't gotten the word that it was ok to talk about.

This was after Matt told gamerman it was ok, so I think it was probably one of the Knights who just hadn't heard that yet.
