Since the other topic got a little um... huge... from pre-launch discussion I thought it would be best to spin off a new topic for post-launch stuff.

So guys, how are your new Pokémanz?

Dammit, you locked the thread while i was in the middle of replying. I hit the submit button and got a red screen.

Anyways...

About to battle the 3rd Gym Leader.

My party consists of the following:
- lv. 20 Sandile
- lv. 26 Bouldore (way better localization name than it's previous form, roggenrolla)
- lv. 26 Dewott (Clever)

Like I said before with the Japanese version, I really enjoyed a lot of the new designs. Especially because it felt like everytime I saw a new pokemon I just had to catch it and add it to my team, it's annoying how patient I'm being by limiting myself to catching interesting ones but I think I decided what 4 or 5 pokemon I wanted to keep for my in-game party.

Holy crap level 26 and only at the third gym? Mine are the same level and i'm at the fourth gym. You must of done some serious grinding.

Also, i feel exactly the same about limiting my team. Same as you, every time i find a new pokemon, i wanna use it, but i don't wanna drop another pokemon from my team to make room. It was a hard decision when i decided to drop Audino when i got Zorua earlier today.

You can get Zorua now?

I figured you wouldn't be able to transfer either Celebi or the Legendary shiny trio until you get the Elite Four, how do you do it?

Also no, I didn't do any serious grinding. It just that I've been using only two pokemon after getting the first badge.

Unfortunately I can't do it now or I would take you up on that offer, because that would require me changing the wi-fi configuration and my dad is on the desktop now.

Stupid Nintendo and their outdated wi-fi protocols on the DS Lite. :/

Are you breading them? I didn't realize you were that far ahead.

To unlock the relocator, go to Castelia city, on the last street before exiting to Route 4. I believe it's the building on the right side of the street. On the second floor of the building is a scientist who asks you to imnput some words. On the first prompt, enter EVERYONE HAPPY, and on the second prompt enter SIMPLE CONNECTION. This will unlock the relocator on the game's start menu.

The relocator will only transfer those four event pokemon, no others, and they have to be in a PC box in the Gen IV game. I learned the hard way that if they are in your party, they can't be transferred.

To get zorua, it's in the same city. I forget which building it is exactly, but in one building on the ground floor, there are two children. One is silent while the other reads a story to him. Initially when you talk to them, it gives you a blank "seen" entry in your pokedex for Zorua, but if you approach them with Celebi in you're party... well, i won't give away what happens but you'll get zorua.

I haven't gotten to the part where Zoroark is yet, so i can't help you there.

How do you find out the password thing for the relocator in-game?

Anyway, I got Black Sunday night and gave my girlfriend White tonight. I'm at the 3rd gym right now, and all 6 of my Pokémon are level 21-ish, and my gf is at the first gym. I'm like the game a lot so far. I totally love the music in the game. Just everything about it rocks. I love the dynamic tracks, and the "low HP" theme is friggin awesome hahaha. So far I'm liking a lot of the Pokémon too (I only let myself see the 30-ish Pokémon that were officially shown pre-launch, so most are new to me). Purrloin is the only one I hate so far, and only because it's entirely worthless and it's friggin Glameow 2.0.

One thing I noticed that took me way off-guard: walking damage for poisoning is gone? Holy crap hahah. That was a random yet epic change.

Also I love how every other line of text tells you that TMs are infinite use now. XD

Wow. You guys are making me very envious right now. My white version is waiting for me at home.

I'm going to be doing a giveaway later this week or early next week. I don't know the specific IVs, but the breeds are at least Scrappy (I think that's its english name), Pokabu, Litwick, and whatever Volcarona's pre-evolution is.

Also, Before anyone beats the game, I have a warning. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE GET GOOD NATURE AND IV FOR RESHIRAM/ZEKROM, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:

Alright, first of all, Reshiram and Zekrom are pretty much impossible to get a good nature/IVs on the first run through. The reason being that you're in battle the whole time, and the battle summary screen doesn't display any relevant information. It's not totally impossible to infer what it's nature and IVs are based on the stats, but it's a lot better to be very accurate.

I haven't had a chance to test this out myself, but it made enough sense for me to want to try it.

BEFORE YOU TAKE ON THE ELITE FOUR! You need to fill up ALL of you boxes with [rattata]. There are I think 24 max in this game. In the beginning they don't show you all of the boxes available until you put at least 1 pokémon in all of the boxes, so it's dynamic or whatever.

Under normal circumstances, you would be FORCED to capture Reshiram/Zekrom, if you faint it, it will be revived and you will need to catch it again. However, if you have your boxes full, you will not be able to catch the Reshiram/Zekrom, and after the game is over, you will be able to catch it at the Dragon Spiral Tower.

tl;dr version: Fill up boxes, catch it @ Dragon spiral tower later.

Though this really doesn't involve Black and White, the group The Speed Gamers are gonna be doing another Pokemon marathon coming up. Last time, they tried going for all 493 in the games up through Gen IV, and failed. This time they're scaling it back and just going for all 251 in the Gen I & II games.
