A thread to share what you're currently playing!!

I find it interesting to see what other people are playing. Did you finally tackle something on your backlog? Going for high score or achievements? Playing Zelda games in the timeline's chronological order? Doing whatever it is you do in Minecraft?

Of course we have threads for specific games that we can get into serious details, but how about a thread just to let us know whats up? I often see short quips in the shoutbox but they may disappear. If you leave it here, more users can see!! :)

I've made it a goal for myself to play all the Metroid games this year. I had to catch up on some. Right now I'm playing Other M for the first time, and I actually don't hate it. I'm just past the infamous Ridley fight (where I had some issues with Samus' "character") but otherwise I'm enjoying it. After Other M i have 2 left, Zero Mission (stored in storage so I'll have to dig it out) and Prime Pinball lol.

I'm also finishing up another playthrough of Ocarina of Time (3D), inspired by Egoraptors critics about it's timelessness. I'm at the water temple.

I have some VC games in the backlog, one being MegaMan X which I will start again soon.

So what carts/discs are sitting in your machines? (inb4 digital only) Other types of games are cool too.

Right now I'm doing a handful of dailies in World of Warcraft.

I've been hitting Pokemon X/Y a little more lately to try and breed up some favorites but I haven't gotten far with any of them.

Also Dota 2.

For the past month or two, I've had a designated spot in my sig for showcasing the game I'm currently playing through.

Of course, I play multiple games at once, but I still have one main game that I generally focus on. Lately, that game has been DmC: Devil May Cry. I was interested in playing it for a long time, but I ended up loving it a lot more than I ever expected. People compare it to the older games and say that it pales in comparison, but the other games never truly appealed to me, while this reboot always seemed interesting. The one complaint that I could resonate with is that it's pretty short. The game has 20 missions, and my first playthrough took about 20 hours. That is decent by game standards, but I still wish it was longer. Once I've learned the ropes, I can tear through the game a lot faster. Still, I've invested over 42 hours into DmC while achievement hunting. I'm enjoying the music a lot more than I expected as well.

Currently, i'm working my way through Final Fantasy X. I bought a copy at a flea market years ago when i was first getting into the FF series, but for one reason or another, i never got around to playing it. I also have a copy of XII that i never got around to playing, either, but for now, i'm just trying to focus on X. I set myself the goal of trying to finish it before the Theatrhythm sequel comes out next month.

As for the game, i think i might be around the halfway point. I just got separated from the rest of my party and woke up in a desert somewhere. So far, i'm rather enjoying the game, although Tidus can be kinda a whiny dumbass most of the time.

My face when I forgot Freedom Planet.  One of the things I complained about was the game seemed a little on the easier side.  Well, it's handing my ass to me left and right near the end of the game.  I'm still playing normal on my first character.  I love this game.

Plant, I'd recommend you give the older games a shot.  DMC original is pretty good, but not super deep, DMC2 was trash, DMC3 is fantastic, although I wish it had some of the improvements of 4...and 4.

Well 4 is just a game where the first half teaches you how to play the game and the second half unloads you into a world of just godlike combos.  Seriously, five styles, changeable with the d-pad in game, but also 3 or 4 main weapons and 3 types of guns (I am a little tipsy and I'm having a hard time remembering all the main weapons for some reason) which all have the B/O button change their function.  Seriously, you have SO many tools at your disposal it's insane, and good lord it's wonderful...except for the fucking part where you play through all the nero levels backwards as dante.  It was so close to being the perfect action game...and then it fell short.  I hope some day for a DMC5 where it's just DMC4's dante sections with new levels.  Fuck that would be awesome.  Oh, I guess I should mention the story should either be skipped or seen as a complete joke, which it IS supposed to be.  I mean, the Shakespear scene in DMC4, so great.

Anyway, I'm currently playing CSGO.  This is nothing knew, but hey, it's pretty much all I play these days.  That and madden 15, but mostly CSGO.

Much to Plant's chagrin I've been playing through the Assassin's Creed series one-by-one. Currently I'm playing Revelations and so far I think I like it best, a couple weird design decisions and experiments aside. Also been slowly catching up on Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

LOL :D

Every time I see you on XBL playing that shit, I always want to message you and say "Gaaaah, stop wasting time on those games and play something good like your Sleeping Dogs?! Or get DmC!!! :D" but then I'm afraid that I'll accidentally reach "zachs sisters friend" instead (lol, with no apostrophes for a touch of flair, you lil bastard ;P ). I guess there's no need for me to send you the message since you've clearly stated my baffled frustration with the joy you gain from those games. ^_^

Damn, and here I was feeling all Based Plant over controlling the 8 weapons (2 Angelic, 2 Demon, Rebellion sword [neutral], and 3 firearms [ebony/ivory, a shotgun, and a bomb shooter/detonator]). Memorizing the 80 or so move combinations in the game and executing them at will was a challenge, but once I did I felt like a fuckin beast. I don't know if I'd like having many more weapons to have to manage. ^____^;;

Did you play the new DmC? The aesthetic is something that really appeals to me. I love the changing environment. So fuckin awesome.

lol, yeah, the day I play DmC is... Um... Never. :P I'll totally get to Sleeping Doges eventually though, it's just a matter of getting to a point where I'm done with everything else. :P
