Given the nature of how it works, if we keep the skin active we have two options:

Opt out: Log in on your phone, manually disable the mobile skin. This lasts until the relevant cookie is cleared by your phone. (current setup)

Toggle: Manually select the mobile skin upon logging in on your phone. The next time you access the website on your desktop you will need to manually switch back to the desktop skin.

The second option sounds like a real hassle. I like the sound of the first one better. You say that's the current setup? I wonder how long the cookie lasts, since other people have said they have to switch all the time.

It depends on a mix of what browser, OS, device, user settings, and available storage space the user has. Which is to say, there's really no solid answer.

Again, I like the mobile site and don't want it taken away. Isn't it optional, anyway? Can't we just leave it so people like myself can still use it while people like plant and gamerman can just disable it on their phones? I don't have the greatest eyesight and the mobile mode makes it easier for me to read posts on my small phone screen.

Holy shit, someone actually USES that shit??? It's incredibly awful and unbelievable that someone chooses to use it. Oh well, to each his own I guess. It gets in my way as my browser defaults to the mobile site when I close all my tabs, but I just have to click "Full Site" and load it again. If Morgil actually uses this piece of shit then keep it, but I can't understand why the hell he or anybody else would want to use it. My phone's screen is bigger now, but even on my smaller screen I could turn it sideways and zoom and shit.

The second option sounds like a real hassle. I like the sound of the first one better. You say that's the current setup? I wonder how long the cookie lasts, since other people have said they have to switch all the time.

I don't mind keeping it the way it is now, but this "hassle" is pretty much exactly what I'm talking about, having to toggle off Fag Mode. :P

What?

Damn autocorrect. Was supposed to read as:
'I like what we have set up. No need for another Chatzy migration. And hum. I have the dark skin [for the website; navy blue]; dat white CS looks Hella weird.'

Edit: yeah if Morgil refers ut, might as well keep it. But I also agree with plant. Switching it off every time I come to the website on my galaxy s5 or 2nd Gen nexus 7 tablet has just been the slightest bit annoying for far too long, so I thought I'd ask haha. I can work with it. But it's like second nature. Always the sigh to get it to normal mode. Mobile doesn't seem to show all the features like the regular website does. Although admittedly I don't stay on it enough to really try it out or anything

What's that "white" skin, though? You mean the white and pink one--My Little Sanctuary? You know why that exists, right?

Yeah, I'm not really sure I get why you guys hate the mobile skin so much. It's the same colors as the main skin, at least on my phone. Or is it the verticle orientation that you hate? Personally, that's what I like most about it. If I have it on normal mode on my phone, I have to zoom in really far to make anything out, but then in doing that, posts don't fit entirely on the screen and i have to scroll both horizontally as well as vertically just to read one stinking post, which is a real hassle. I like having everything automatically centered on the screen and auto-wrapping to the next line without the horizontal scrolling bullshit.

But what does Chatzy have to do with anything? We're talking about switching web hosts, not forum software or anything. And are you calling the Preview boards "white CS"? Because it's white because I've yet to reskin it. I was just showing off how the next iteration of our software (which I'm hesitant to upgrade to) handles different devices. It's the same skins on every device, it just smoothly scales between screen sizes. Which is what our normal CS skin would do as well.

I like the mobile skins too when I'm not on my laptop/Wii U.  The problem the mobile skins though is they're tied to browser sniffing.  The sniffer detects your device's user agent and screen resolution and automatically loads the skin it thinks is good for your device.  Sometimes the sniffer will work like how you think it should work, but there are fringe cases when you have to switch skins when the sniffer incorrectly identifies your user agent and/or screen resolution (3DS Internet Browser anyone?).

But thanks to the web's move to HTML5, browser sniffing is going to be less of a pain in the ass as skins will scale accordingly to your browser and device.  No more separate desktop and mobile modes.  As Prime just posted, the next version of IPB will scale accordingly to what you use.  There is no need to code two different modes to each skin.

Too bad we're waiting for the remaining IPB 4 problems to get fixed first.

I'm not even gonna pretend to understand all that techno-jargon. The only important thing I pulled from that is that is that I'm not the only one who prefers the mobile skin :)
