We have a title and a trailer now, and it seems like there may finally be voice acting.

Zelda U/NX has a new title and it's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Looooots of goodies in that trailer. Voice acting, Link in full armor, new gear, burning down Hyrule, etc..

Looking great, and more to come throughout the day.

Bunch of screens and GIFs:

The full version of Breath of the Wild maps will be 12x larger than Twilight Princess's maps.  The e3 demos only make 1% of the entire Breath of the Wild maps from the final version.  Hidemaro Fujibayashi, Director of Skyward Sword and Minish Cap, is the director/project lead of Breath of the Wild.  Aonuma is producer/group manager for the game.

You've probably heard this before, but Miyamoto wants to revisit the NES Zelda's roots with the go anywhere, do stuff at your pace gameplay.  It's up to you to decide how to guide Link in Breath of the Wild and find your purpose in this world.  NPCs won't just spill everything on a silver platter.  You'll have to do some digging too!

Despite increased voice acting, Link will not speak at all.  Not even for answers you can give when a character asks you something.

Aonuma throws in a nod to TP and says Breath of Wild's Link is right-handed due to setting the attack controls to use your right hand.  In TP Wii, you had to use your right hand for "waggle" to do most things like attack, aim your bow, etc.

Game looks fucking gorgeous. Loved the music too. Little worried on the length, since my attention span is shit and the last few Zelda games I played overstayed their welcome, but if there's enough to do here, then I'm def game.

Thardus confirmed. Touch Samus amiibo to the gamepad to unlock buddy Thardus. I wanna see moar, but I wait. Bring on the NX already. I wanna see what improvements the NX version will have. I want better textures, lighting, and solid 60fps.

I'm kind of doubting 60 FPS unless the other changes are very minimal. As in, it's basically untouched outside of frame rate. It's a very large open-world game, and 30fps is the de facto goal for open world games - a goal that's rarely met. GTAV doesn't can't maintain a locked 30fps on even PS4, and that's a port of a last gen game. Granted, much, much more is going on in GTAV, but still. That's an extremely high mark to meet for any open world game. I think Metal Gear Solid 5 is literally the only open world game to run at 60fps on consoles, and that was through whatever black magic Kojima invoked to create the Fox Engine. It's also worth noting that no 3D Zelda has ever run at 60fps, even the two HD remasters on Wii U (and getting those to run at 60fps would be a far less impressive feat than Breath of the Wild).

My guess:

Wii U will have an unlocked framerate targeting 30fps, with frequent dips into the mid-upper 20's during action, and rare dips into the high teens. Resolution will be 720p. (edit: 720p is confirmed by the press kit screenshots)
NX will run at a perfectly locked 30fps, at 1080p, with notable anti-aliasing. Draw distances will be increased, particularly for level-of-detail and folliage. Additional/improved effects, including lighting and particle effects. Same quality models and terrain geometry, with higher resolution textures in some (but potentially not all) places.

Also, a SHITTON of new screens, with links to 4K images here: http://www.neogaf.co...d.php?t=1233899

Two of my favorites:

Tab back and forth between those two. Really shows of the differences in lighting and whatnot.

Also, the Japanese website is up: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/zelda/

Somebody tried to calculate based on limited info how big the demo map is based on info and the e3 demos.  The following is not confirmed by Nintendo.

- each square on the map translates to roughly 1 square kilometer (0.4 square miles)
- the E3 demo is in a section that appears to be about 2 km by roughly 1.5 km
- entire map appears to be roughly 360 square kilometers, or roughly 140 square miles
- this makes the map just slightly smaller than that of Xenoblade Chronicles X

The following is a fan translation of the Hylian text found in the e3 demos and showcase.  There may be spoilers!

The old man shown in the Treehouse demos yesterday may have some story-related spoilers.  View at your own risk here: http://gonintendo.co...-look-at-the-ol

NCL has a teaser site for BotW here:  https://www.nintendo.co.jp/zelda/
