Takehiro Izushi, an employee of Nintendo since 1975, has just retired. The 65-year-old spent 43 years with Nintendo, working on everything from the Game and Watch series to Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS. In recent years, Izushi was part of Nintendo's General Affairs Division. Now the legend has stepped away from Nintendo to enjoy a well-earned retirement.

If you don't know who Izushi was, he had a hand in developing Nintendo's Color TV series, programming Nintendo's Game & Watch units in the late 1970s - early 1980's, and later after Gunpei Yokoi left Nintendo in 1997, Izushi became producer of a wide variety of Nintendo games including producing the international versions of the Pokemon Generation 1 games.  After Satoru Iwata shuffled around Nintendo's various internal teams in the mid-2000's, Izushi would join Nintendo's General Affairs department until his retirement.

The last game Izushi would have a hand in was being a supervisor to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U.
