Set for the end of 2017, this game carries Mario on a brand-new adventure away from the Mushroom Kingdom.  Details are scarce, but GameXplain analyzed the Switch teaser:

Viewer discretion is advised.  Talk about the latest Mario game here.

Now that I think about it, this would be a good time to bring Bunny Mario back.

I was just thinking that earlier too. That would be a really cool returning power up. Though that power up kind of made Super Mario Land 2 too easy. :D

This announcement and all the talk behind it so far has me excited. Glad Mario's getting back to the SM64/Sunshine style of games. The cityscape, along with other worlds showed look cool so far. THIS is what has me excited for the Switch. I enjoyed that power-up a lot too.

Obviously, Odyssey will be at e3 2017.  The question is in what form?

Odyssey is pretty much done and could have been a part of Switch's launch, but it was held back for marketing reasons.  So unless the Mario team is at work on their next project (either DLC or a new Mario game for 3DS), I wouldn't expect any last minute major additions to Odyssey, although it's still possible for the graphics to get polished up more closer to release.

Hopefully they fix the wall jump collision issues. That shit was so glaring from the first time I saw it. Mario jumps off of an invisible wall about 2-3 relative feet away from the geometry's surface.

I wonder if Nintendo will begin work towards paid DLC for it, either story/world or character/skins etc. Has there been any stance regarding DLC for Switch? Obviously in today's world I'd think it'd be a no-brainer. I'm sure they made serious bank on Wii U/3DS DLC for Sm4sh alone.
