Breath of the Wild is the 19th entry in the Zelda series set after Ocarina of Time (but it's unknown which of the timelines this falls under) where something has happened to Hyrule and you, Link, have woken up from stasis 100 years later not knowing what happened to you or happened to Hyrule.  This is the second open-world Zelda game after the NES original where you have complete freedom in traveling the world.  You can even go after the final boss immediately upon game start if you want.

In a first for the Zelda series, you can buy DLC in the form of the Expansion Pass which is basically a season pass.  If you want DLC, be sure to snag the BotW day 1 update:  http://gonintendo.co...1-1-0-available

>> Here's how to get the pass:  http://gonintendo.co...-wild-s-expansi

For those playing the game or have yet to get the game, please remember tag your story discussions with spoilers.  Also anything you unlock also counts as spoilers, so please tag them properly.

I've got some news and there may be spoilers in the following.

Spoiler

Fuck, man. I want to wear that for obvious reasons, but I would be reluctant because, if that's the ONLY way to obtain shit like that, then I wouldn't want to wear it because it'd ironically be "non-canon."

...so, in my curiosity, I did some googling and found my answer:

There IS a green tunic specific to Barf of the Wild™, but you have to beat ALL 120 SHRINES in order get it. Basically, this Link doesn't get to wear the Hero garb until he's all but finished with his quest. Fuck you, Aonuma.

Or you could just do what i did and go to the dye shop and dye a normal tunic green.

Yeah, that's true. I haven't found it yet myself, but I read about it in my aforementioned googling. That's a "canon" way for Link to wear green, but it's still not the hero garb.

By the way, I was about to post a video that I saw earlier today which was very useful, and came across this. Haha, yeah, once you watch this, you won't climb mountains the same ever again. Is this cheating? Ehh, maybe? But this knowledge challenges your honor against your laziness, and hot damn if laziness doesn't trump everything. :P

Anyway, here's the helpful video I intended to post in the first place.
