The following comes from Emily Rogers...

- titled Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
- eight playable characters
- includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi and others
- each character has their own sci-fi weapon, such as laser guns, arm cannons and more
- characters aren’t controlled directly, but are instead controlled through something called a Tuttorio
- a Tuttorio is a small floating dish which guides the characters through the world
- will feature co-op multiplayer

A rumor on a rumored game. We know how silly that sounds, but the sources out there backing up the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle rumor are, in my eyes, credible enough to believe.

With that said, we're also hearing multiple reports (outside of AND including the video above) that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will be using Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine. That's worth noting, as both The Division and South Park: The Fractured but Whole use the same engine. If this rumor is true, it's great news to hear Ubisoft has gotten one of their major engines up-and-running on Switch.

So what do you all think about the supposed rumors?

First of all, I hope this is all fake because fuck Emily Rogers.

Secondly, I hate when I recall this game because, if it's real, it will take away from the rest of the E3 2017 presentation, which sorely needs one killer lineup so that the Switch won't look like the doomed rehash system that it's proving to be at this point in time. Seriously, what the fuck has Nintendo been working on all these years while the Wii U floundered in a shitty puddle of it's own blood? They better address that question in fucking spades this June.

I dislike this rumor because of one word:

Rabbids.

Bleck.

The following info comes from Kotaku

- Kotaku has seen assets
- due out either August or September
- turn-based combat
- two-player local co-op
- goofy sense of humor.
- assets show Mario and crew wielding laser guns
- playable characters include Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and, four Rabbids dressed up as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach

...Eh.

I wonder how deeply Nintendo is involved in this project. Hopefully that answer is "barely at all," because this sounds like a pile of shit. Out of all the projects that get green-lit and all that get cancelled, I can't believe that this bullshit received the go-ahead.

The worst part is, I'll probably get talked into getting this. The other members of the family aren't as anti-Rabbids as I am. :|

This ... this isn't making the idea of this game any more appealing.

Personally, even the idea of some kind of game like this wouldn't be sooo bad, but damn, those Rabbids. They're worse than Minions.

Rabbids > Minions

More game-related.
Less shitty "memes"/macros.

It seems like this will get confirmed at e3.  Brazil's video game rating authority has rated this crossover that no one wanted.

Here.  Moar rumors! --

http://gonintendo.co...nd-of-rumored-i

The following info comes from unnamed sources at Ubisoft...

- development started three years ago
- Ubisoft was the one that came up with the idea, and went through the standard pitching process to Nintendo execs
- seems like the title may have been in the works for Wii U at first
- being made by both Ubisoft’s Paris and Milan divisions, with the core creative direction being handled by Milan
- Nintendo is overseeing development and approving ideas, but have been very accepting and quick to approve ideas
- game features surreal, self referential gags
- at one point, there was a hulky Donkey Kong themed rabbid serving as one of the first boss encounters
- this rabbid has access to a pile of bananas that it can use to replenish its health
- to beat him, you have to cut off his food supply to prevent him from recovering
- the DK rabbid will dab periodically if it lands an attack correctly
- when the boss faints, the rabbid cosplaying as Princess Peach in your party takes a selfie with him
- the 8 playable characters each have an individual skill tree of sorts for developing special abilities
- each start with a base skill that they can later improve, in addition to learning new ones
- Mario has a passive ability which enables him to automatically fire at an enemy if they enter his field of vision
- some of these powers are common across multiple characters
- there are unique ones like Peach’s powerful ability to inflate enemies using a foot pump until they explode
- online suite was being tested several months back, although this mode was inaccessible in the test builds
- additional mode named ‘Arena’ was spotted in the test UI
- prototypes feature a mode dubbed ‘amiibo machine’, but the details behind it remain a mystery
- Ubisoft is producing prototype figurines of some of the game’s characters, which may turn out to be amiibo
- this game was originally intended to be unveiled during Nintendo’s January Switch event
- the reveal got pushed back in order to let the game get some more polish
- it will be revealed at E3 2017, and could see release in August or September
