Apparently AT&T just finished buying out Time Warner which means AT&T would have a stake in WB Games which are responsible for the LEGO and Mortal Kombat series.  This is pending any appeals or any objections from the government (namely the US prez).  Unless I've been under a rock, wouldn't this mean this is a first time that a telecommunications company got into the gaming market?

Anyways discuss, speculate, etc. about what this will mean for WB Games ahead barring any objections from the US government.

What does POTUS have anything to do with this business deal/relation?

Time Warner owns CNN and CNN has been all over the prez's ass.  I'll leave it at that as any deeper discussion about it will result in heavy flamewars.

Oh, you mean Trump personally has a business stake, and not the government itself. I don't see this causing any interference in game production. Even if #fakenews is up his ass 24/7, I don't think this will affect development of any WB titles.

I'd imagine the legal stuff would involve monopoly laws, but fuck if I know.
