Naturally videogames (Metroid, Halo, Zelda, Pokémon, and Gears of War are some of my favorites) and web development/design/management. In addition to that I enjoy cinematography and video editing, reading, and pretty much anything science fiction related. My favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Muse, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles, in no particular order.
I'm an admin and founding member of Chozo Sanctuary. Prior to CS I was one of the first and most active members of the Luminoth Temple, a secret Metroid community run by Nintendo of America. After it was shutdown I co-founded this site with EP, Spameroo, and Mega as a replacement for all of the community members who wanted to stick together.
If you're new here feel free to ask me anything via PM or Wall post and I'll get back to you quickly. :)
Unless I'm missing something, everything before and after is fine. I *think* I know the cause, but I'm not sure. I had to split the database into chunks when I restored everything. My guess is one chunk was either missed, or corrupted.
It seems GoDaddy implemented a range of long-needed updates which proceeded to... well, break just about everything. In the process they appear to have done some sort of back-up and restore process on our database which ended... poorly. Long story short, we restored everything from a back-up dating back to November of 2016, meaning all posts/topics/PMs/etc.. made in the time since have been lost. I'll try to see if GoDaddy has whatever back-up they were working off of on their side, but for the time being, just assume that all of that content will be unrecoverable.
Some other notes: we (yes, actual "we", not just me pretending not to be foreveralone.jpg) have been talking about getting the side moved/updated/etc.. If and when this will happen, we don't know, but if it does expect more changes than you may otherwise think. Perhaps a move to a new old domain? Like I said, nothing is set in stone. We'll try and keep you posted.
In preparation for the move we're "freezing" uploads (this includes post and PM attachments, avatars, and anything uploaded to your server space if you are a member with FTP access) for the time being. "Freezing" being in quotes, because it will still actually be enabled, but we can't promise anything uploaded between now and the completed move will be preserved. I'll notify you when it is once again safe to upload files.
Additionally, if you have FTP access and are the paranoid type now would be a good time to download your directory to keep a local back-up.
Ok, this time that's not even trolling, it's a outright lie.
But still! Some footage from the Sun & Moon demo running in 1080p via the Citra emulator. It actually looks pretty great. Mayhaps with the Switch simultaneously serving as Nintendo's new home and handheld console this could be seen a sneak peak of what's to come?
My guess: we see the box, MAYBE a fast glimpse of the controller, MAYBE the name, and some footage of generic tech demo-y games, with someone talking about how "revolutionary" it will be and "something something blue ocean something something power doesn't win" (while the PS4 is winning worldwide on "it's the same as the last thing, but more powerful").
(okay, I'll relay that to him right away, thanks)
Yeah, I just got off the phone with the fire marshal. Turns out that much Nintendo in one house is against fire code. Looks like you'll have to get rid of... oh... 50% of that by tomorrow. Don't worry, you can send it to my address. I'll take real good care of it until you get a second house to store the second half of your goods. *
* after 24 hours of storage all goods will permanently and irrevocably transfer ownership to Prime
Dammit, Prune, I was gonna post this and be the hero!
Why you take that away from me?
You too can be the hero. All you need to do is import one and send it to me. The future of CS depends on it!
For real though, if anyone wants one Amazon Japan is shipping these to the US. All you gotta do is log into with your normal Amazon credentials and order it as usual. You may need to manually switch the language to English though.
