Pokémon GO increased Nintendo's Value by $7.5B

12 July 2016 - 06:55 AM

Gizmodo article shows that this buggy, can't-connecty mobile game has been a huge fucking success. In just 2 days, Nintendo's stock spiked over 25% by 7.5 Billion dollars. Fuckin hell, how do I rewind time and get a stick broker dunno all my money into Nintendo so that I can sell an that shit now?! According to the article, Pokémon Go is being used/downloaded more than Tinder and Instagram, and is on the path to surpass Twitter as well.

This success is surprising, but I've seen it taking place my Facebook feed. On launch day, many of my friends were posting screenshots of the game, and at least one was one of my closest high school friends. I thought she didn't like Pokémon or video games in general, but she happily posted a picture of a weedle in her bread basket at what appeared to be an Olive Garden.

Let it Die

22 June 2016 - 03:47 PM

Wondering what Suda51's next game is? It's quite different from his past games. Enter Let it Die, a self-appointed "Extreme Action" game, because not defining itself with an unprecedented genre would be a crime. :P The most disappointing thing about this to me is that it's mostly a multiplayer game, and story is apparently reduced to background noise, or the provision of context at the most basic level. I guess I'm have to wait longer for the next No More Heroes or Lollipop Chainsaw experience.

Here's an exclusive interview with Suda51 and EasyAllies. I think they ask some shitty questions, but hey, it's still an interview with Suda51. :P

Discuss how great it is to be first.

McDonald's Monopoly 2016

14 April 2016 - 03:45 PM

Alright, motherfuckers. Let's get down to business.

Every year, McDonald's does this Monopoly shit.
Every year, you don't win jack-- just stop -.
This year, shit will be different.
...assuming that this Monopoly shit occurs simultaneously, nationwide, and that no fine print bullshit prevents shit like this...

Over the past year or two, we've gotten a lot more personal with each other, thanks to Amiibo cooperation, to which I'd like to primarily thank Prowl as the pioneer to this behavior. Now, it's time to help one another bank hard as fuck... or maybe only a little as fuck... but still as fuck.

In this thread, we post our ticket horde, and if we have a match with someone else to complete a winning set, one of the people (perhaps the one with more/rarer pieces) receives the matching pieces from the partner via snail mail. This person acts as the host, and then (s)he splits monetary reward with the partner via PayPal (or other agreed means).

I'll start.

Hitman

19 March 2016 - 01:00 PM

I've never really been a fan of the Hitman series, though I'd like to have been. The most I ever played of this series was on a copy of one of the games in the series that my cousin rented for his PS2 back in the day. All I remember is having a garrote wire, walking around aimlessly in some sort of grassy courtyard or someshit, and not knowing what the fuck to do or how to make titular Hitman do anything interesting with any of the buttons.

The early trailers piqued my interest in the series, though. I was a little excited for the release of the newest Hitman game set to release by the end of 2015, but--as you all probably know--it not only got delayed to March 2016, but also got turned into an episodic affair, spanning 7 (yes, seven; holy shit) episodes. Episode 1 released a little over a week ago on March 11th, but the rest of the installments will be spread out over a longer period of time. Episode 2 is coming out at some unspecified date in April, and episodes 3 through 7 aren't even on the radar yet.

As I did with Resident Evil Revelations 2 and Life is Strange, I won't get into this game until a complete collection is made available... maybe in November of this year for all I know. Hopefully the complete collection will be cheaper that way, too, as I believe is usually the case for episodic game series.

Well, the main reason I made this thread was to post this video, so here it is! :P

Seriously, though: This is the trailer for Episode 1 launch trailer. Get hyped. If you give a shit.
