The Blog About Nothing: A G-tech Story

19 May 2015 - 10:49 AM

I started swiping this out in the shoutbox when I realized how much space I was consuming, so I figured this would be the best place for me update you guys and guyettes on the status of my phone for reasons I don't even know why:

BREAKING: penis The screen returned to it's initial broken state after letting out charge. I think the temperature is effecting the screen. It for rather cold in my room last night, and it was at this time I noticed the aforementioned changes in my previous UPDATE.

With the upper portion of the screen mostly cleared up I was able to see that the battery was low, so I plugged it up and called it a day. When grabbed my phone this morning I noticed my phone was a little warm (that's not abnormal, but I'm assuming it was more noticeable because how cold my hands were). I turned on my phone expecting that the screen's condition worsen over night, thankfully, as you already know, that's not case.

I might upload some pictures of my phone so you can get a visual representation of what I'm talking about. Again, for reasons I do not understand.

Halo Online is coming to PC exclusively in Russia

25 March 2015 - 04:46 PM

Activision isn't the only company adapting it's marquee franchise in to an online-only, free to play game. Earlier today Microsoft announced Halo Online, a free to play multiplayer-only game for the PC. The game is being co-developed by Saber Interactive and Innova Systems and it's running on a highly modified version of the Halo 3 engine.

There is no release date, however, a beta is scheduled to be released sometime in the spring and only in Russia. When asked why is Halo Online is only going to be available in Russia PR Bot-8000 replied, "Halo Online is a learning opportunity for us as we explore ways to welcome new fans to the 'Halo' universe. We’re excited to release a 'Halo' multiplayer-only PC experience tailored for Russian gamers beep-blorp-bop".

My topic for today is...

23 March 2015 - 07:53 PM

As some of you may already know, Prime has recently gone mad with power and created a new rule demanding us to create at least one thread and reply to a minimum of two unique post per day. So seeing as I don't want to be banned I decided to create this thread. Now some of you maybe asking yourself the following: "But G-tech, you don't really post anything anyway, so why would it matter if you were to get banned since you could continue to lurk around as you always do?" To that I say, "shut up, me hypothetical person." I'm doing this so I don't lose ability to choose to post something if I want to. Yeah, that makes sense.

Now with that out of the way I it's time to move on to the subject at hand...

Yeah, I got nothing. I'm just sitting here trying to figure out what to say, but I got zlitch, zippo, nada. I don't want to post a thread about nothing. HEY! Maybe you can help. Tell me what you think this thread should be about.

Edit: Ooooooooooops!!!!

Nintendo announces it is entering the mobile market and the codename of a new system.

17 March 2015 - 02:00 AM

Nintendo held a press conference today announcing it is teaming up with mobile company DeNA to develop games on mobile platforms using Nintendo's  IPs. According to DeNA's press release all games developed under this collaboration will be new games tailored for touchscreens, so games from Nintendo's current and classic systems will continue to be exclusive to Nintendo hardware.

Speaking of hardware, Nintendo also announced that it's developing a new system codenamed "NX". That's it. I'm assuming reason why Nintendo decided to share this information during this announcement was to quell any notion that it is abandoning dedicated gaming hardware.  But the Internet is gonna be the internet so be prepared for the inevitable onslaught of I-told-you-so, Nintendo is t3h doomz, and Nintendo fanboys' opinions on mobile doing 180s.

Also, it seems that Nintendo and DeNA are working on a new "membership service" that will work across PC, mobile, and Nintendo's game consoles. Could this be the successor to Club Nintendo? It's currently planned to be released this fall so maybe we will find find out soon enough.

It seems that Prime already covered the NX news. Going forward I will no longer try to create such threads using a tablet.

Holy crap I'm blind.
